Note from the Superintendent
On July 13, the Carrizo Springs CISD Board of
Trustees called a $45,000,000 bond election for November 8,
2011.
The proposed bond will address aging facilities in our District as well as some District-wide upgrades to repair roofs and plumbing. This website has been created to help inform you about what is proposed in the bond election. On this website, you will find proposed project information, tax rate information, voting information, a list of frequently asked questions. Several bond presentations will be scheduled throughout the community and the dates will be posted on this website. VACANCY Executive Director for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Primary Purpose:Evaluate and provide leadership for the overall instructional program of the district. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Leonard
Long time Wildcats and Wildcat supporters Eddie and Janice Leonard have been selected as the Grand Marshals of the 2011 Homecoming Parade on Saturday, November 5. They have been long time supporters of the Wildcats, as students, parents and community members. They have also been reserved seat supporters. Their reserved seats date back to the time, when Mr. Bruce Leonard would bring the ambulance to the football games back in the early 1950’s. Eddie and Janice continue to purchase the same 4 seats. Homecoming parade entry forms may be dropped off at the C.S.C.I.S.D. Supt. Office at 300 N 7th Street or faxed to Sofia Morones at 830.468.3721. Forms may also be signed, scanned and emailed to smorones@cscisd.net. For further information you may contact Ms. Sofia Morones at 830.876.3503 at ext. 5002 or 2502. District Calendar for 2011-2012 "District AYP Parent Notification letter”TO PARENTS OF STUDENTS ATTENDING Carrizo Springs CISD: Under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001, a Title I, Part A-funded local education agency (LEA), or school district, that has not met AYP for two or more consecutive years in the same indicator (reading, mathematics, attendance rate, or graduation rate) is subject to LEA-level Title I School Improvement Requirements. Based on the 2011 LEA AYP Status released August 4, 2011, Carrizo Springs CISD is subject to the LEA-level School Improvement Program (SIP) requirements for Stage 1 during the 2011-2012 school year.
